About Elva Jones

When she was occasionally called on stage to play hand percussion, at the age of 4, by family friend and world famous Cuban Artist & Flutist Jose Fajardo; little did Elva Jones-Hahn know that she was answering a greater call on her life. That calling became evident when, at the age of 10, she was given her first guitar and began playing cover tunes and writing songs of her own.

At 17 she joined her brother, drummer Jimmy Jones, and his band Rhythm Express, onstage;performing at local clubs in Houston Texas. She met Brad Evans in 1987 and they beganperforming as a duo at open mike nights, becoming a regular act at The Last Concert Cafe.

In 1990 she formed a duo with Doug Clark-Steiger and they soon became well-known act between Houston and Austin in the local scene in places like Munchies, Shakespeares, Fitzgeralds, Mucky Duck, Cactus Cafe, Colleges, private parties, charity events, etc.

1993, she played the main stage at the Kerrville Folk Festival with duo partner Doug Clark Steiger. Soon afterwards, Elva moved to Denver, CO, where she joined The Woodies Band, playing the local clubs, private parties and charity events. After leaving the band, she decided to go back into the corporate job market until 2005 when the 'music bug' hit her again.

In 1993, Elva released her first album as Elva Jones called “Waiting To Be Found” at Rivendale Studios in Houston, Tx.

In 2013, Elva release her second album called “Realty Is…” with Producer/Engineer David M. Lohr, in Littleton, CO. David is currently the Sound Engineer for Neil Young.

In 2016 she teamed up with Award Winning Singer/Songwriter/Musician/Producer Tom Prasada-Rao & Co-Producer Justin Roth to record her third album called "Every Now & Then".

In 2021, she release her fourth album called “Stand In My Truth” with David Dickinson at Boiler Room Studios in Austin, Texas. David is the nephew of Bill Ham, Manger for ZZ Top and Clint Black, Bill also owned Lone Wolf Productions which produced Clint Black, Van Wilkes, Eric Johnson & Jay Aaron, Hamstein Management & Publishing Companies.
